2-time Daytime Emmy nominee Kimberly Persona creates and produces a variety of kids media projects. Her work has generated millions of views online. She created, produced and stars in the live action pre-school series Miss Persona for Treehouse TV, now streaming on Amazon Prime in Canada. Miss Persona earned significant industry recognition including winning a Youth Media Alliance Award of Excellence, a Kidscreen Award nomination, two Canadian Screen Award nominations, and winning the Shaw Rocket Fund Kids’ Choice Award at the Canadian Screen Awards in 2022.
Kimberly co-created, produced, wrote songs for and starred in the award-winning Teletoon feature film Princess Sparkly Butt & The Hot Dog Kid, which was adapted from an award-winning play in which she also performed all those roles for. In 2016, she line-produced and hosted Startoon, a web-based competition and variety show. Prior to producing her own content she most notably starred on YTV’s Extreme Babysitting and played Lady Gaga in the critically acclaimed musical Of A Monstrous Child.
She is the producer, co-creator and star of the live action kids web series Space Dragon & Kim which has launched two seasons on the Shaftesbury Kids YouTube channel, was nominated for the prestigious Japan Prize and has over 2 million views. Kimberly began her media career acting for children and fell in love with kids media. She hasn’t looked back since and is committed to creating meaningful, fresh content for kids for both digital and traditional media. She is currently in development on multiple shows with various Canadian Broadcasters.
Brandon Lane is an award-winning showrunner, creator, screenwriter and director with extensive experience developing content slates for major companies like 9 Story Media Group and Nelvana. A Daytime Emmy nominee and 5-time Canadian Comedy Award nominee, Brandon previously worked at Corus Entertainment for nearly a decade as Production Executive for Treehouse, YTV, Teletoon, Cartoon Network Canada and Adult Swim Canada as well as Development Producer at legendary Corus animation-house Nelvana. Brandon has overseen the production of over 380 hours of content, collaborating with partners like Disney, Netflix, HBO, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Sesame Workshop, Hulu and Sony Pictures Animation.
Brandon is showrunner, lead director and head writer of the preschool series Miss Persona which was a top rated series on Treehouse TV and received critical acclaim, including winning a Youth Media Alliance Award of Excellence, garnering multiple Daytime Emmy nominations, a Kidscreen Award nomination, two Canadian Screen Award nominations, and was winner of the Shaw Rocket Fund Kids’ Choice Award at the Canadian Screen Awards in 2022. Miss Persona was picked up by Peacock in the US and is now streaming on Amazon Prime in Canada.
Brandon also worked for four and a half years as Development Executive and Creative Producer at 9 Story where he co-created Cache Craze for YTV and oversaw the development and production on a slate of shows including Numb Chucks, which he also wrote 4 episodes for. Brandon also wrote for Sinking Ship on Dino Dana and on the CBC Kids' series 'What’s Your News?'. Brandon created, wrote and directed the award-winning feature film Princess Sparkly Butt & The Hot Dog Kid for Teletoon. The film was adapted from an award-winning Toronto Fringe Festival play Brandon also wrote and directed. He is showrunner, director and co-creator of the live action kids web series Space Dragon & Kim which was nominated for the prestigious Japan Prize in 2022 and was co-showrunner on 80 episodes of D.N. Ace for Teletoon. He is the creator and head writer of multiple shows currently in development with various Canadian broadcasters.
